IQ CAMBRIDGE HOPS ABOARD LIFTSHARE!
Another environmental initiative has been launched at IQ Cambridge: the park has just become a fully-fledged member of Liftshare, the UK’s leading journey-sharing organisation for eco-conscious commuters.
“The move will help reduce traffic congestion and emissions in Cambridgeshire and beyond” says Karen Fogarty of SEGRO (owners of IQ Cambridge), “but it’s not just a worthy idea, it’s also a very practical and enjoyable one. Liftshare’s on-line network matches people with similar journeys so they can travel better together, saving money, cutting their carbon footprint, and having fun”.
In a similar vein, IQ Cambridge also runs a shuttlebus service for its occupants between Waterbeach rail station and the park, and has joined the OY Bike system, a network of rental cycle stands from which users can hire and return cycles by means of a mobile phone call.
These initiatives add to IQ Cambridge’s long-standing environmental credentials. The park has been awarded a Certificate of Commitment by the Travel for Work Partnership, and has also received the Barley Landscaping Award for the design of its 122-acre grounds. The park also maintains its own wildlife reserve.
